To reach the mountain Chacaltaya, we have to go through roads in high mountains, dusty roads and stones. The mountain once had a glacier, which was claimed to be the world's highest ski lift and the only ski resort in Bolivia. However, the glacier disappeared in 2009, but the mountain remains a stunning destination for adventurers.

Tour Plan – 1 Day
To reach the mountain Chacaltaya, we have to go through roads in high mountains, dusty roads and stones. The tour takes you through challenging high-altitude terrain with breathtaking views of the Cordillera Real. You will ride on a mix of asphalt, gravel hard pack, and off-road sections. At the summit (5,421 meters / 17,785 ft), you'll enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Andes and the Altiplano. The mountain once had a glacier, which was claimed to be the world's highest ski lift and the only ski resort in Bolivia. Return to La Paz in the late afternoon.
